The library is closed today June 19, 2025 for the Juneteenth holiday. We will reopen again Friday June 20, 2025 at 2 pm.
This week we had a small group for story hour. Lea and the children read Sheep in a Jeep by Nancy Shaw, Moon by Britta Teckentrup, and Let’s Dance Little Pookie by Sandra Boynton.

Story Hour this week we made “Little Green Monster” paper bag puppets. We also read Little Green Monster by Ed Emberly; That’s Not My Monster by Usborne; A Good Day by Kevin Henkes; Goodnight, Owl by Blue Apple Books; Llama, Llama, Hippity Hop by Anna Dewdney.

This was an interesting take on the power of healing. Stephen King gave the idea of a religious healer a dark twist in his usual fashion. I found the story enjoyable even with it being a little slow. There are mentions of drug abuse and addiction mentioned. Overall, a good read.
