The library will be closed today for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen tomorrow at 10 am.

This month’s display is of Sybil Shiland’s weaving. There is an assortment of different patterns that she has created feel free to stop in and have a look.

This week we read Who Said Moo?  by Harriet Ziefert, and Old MacDonald Had a Farm, and Gossie & Friends by Olivier Dunrea. The children used stamps to make some great pictures. We have story hour Thursdays at 10:30.

January 2, 2025. For the first story hour of the year we read Dogteam by Gary Paulsen. We danced to Let’s Dance, Little Pookie by Sandra Boynton. We made pinecone/peanut butter bird feeders. Everyone had a great time. Hope to see you next week.

Davis Memorial Library is open today until 8:00. We will be closed Tuesday, 12/31/24, and Wednesday, 1/01/25. We will see you at our first story time of 2025 on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

Today’s story hour we made candles. There was also some dancing and we read Boynton, Let’s Dance Little Pookie; and Thompson, Polar Bear Night. Everyone has a lot of fun.

Just a reminder that every child who comes to the library on Thursday (today), Friday, Saturday and Monday will receive a free children’s book. Please come in and bring a child with you!

We would like to thank all our patrons for a wonderful year. We have added many new patrons. Again we wanted to thank you new or a long time patron for continuing to use the library. Don’t forget we have a collection basket for non perishable items for the needy in our community.

This week we read Maisy’s Snowy Christmas Eve by Lucy Cousins and Polar Night by  Lauren Thompson. Then the children colored pictures.
